Upon completion, students should be able to customize and use Linux systems for command line requirements and desktop productivity roles.

    Prerequisite(s): NOS 120 Corequisite(s): None This course introduces the Linux file system, group administration, and system hardware controls. Topics include installation, creation and maintaining file systems, NIS client and DHCP client configuration, NFS, SMB/ Samba, Configure X, Gnome, KDE, basic memory, processes, and security. Upon completion, students should be able to perform system administration tasks including installation, configuring and attaching a new Linux workstation to an existing network.

Topics include managing and maintaining physical and logical devices, access to resources, the server environment, managing users, computers, and groups, and Managing/Implementing Disaster Recovery. Upon completion, students should be able to manage and maintain a Windows Server environment.

Emphasis is placed on the nursing process, legal/ethical/professional issues, wellness/illness patterns, and basic nursing skills. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate beginning understanding of nursing process to promote/maintain/restore optimum health for diverse clients throughout the life span. This is a diploma-level course.

Emphasis is placed on the nursing process, delegation, cost effectiveness, legal/ethical/professional issues, and wellness/illness patterns. Upon completion, students should be able to begin participating in the nursing process to promote/maintain/restore optimum health for diverse clients throughout the life span. This is a diploma- level course. *Clinical Practice A - Clinical focus will complement content areas of surgical process and the special needs patient, cardiovascular, oncology, musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal nursing. Clinical Practice B - Clinical focus will complement content areas of gerontology, endocrinology, neurology, respiratory, and genitourinary.

Emphasis is placed on the nursing process, wellness/illness patterns, entry-level issues, accountability, advocacy, professional development, evolving technology, and changing health care delivery systems. Upon completion, students should be able to use the nursing process to promote/ maintain/restore optimum health for diverse clients throughout the life span. Emphasis is placed on the application of the nursing process to provide and manage care as a member of the discipline of nursing. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate beginning competence in caring for individuals with common alterations of health.
