    Students who complete all three courses in the Film Crew sequence can become working members of film crews. This course will be taught by working film union professionals. Content will be lecture and hands-on. Students complete the semester by working as part of an actual film crew. Offered in collaboration with IATSE film union and NM Film Office, it is designed to train below-the-line film crew members. May be taken twice for degree or certificate credit.     Students learn the basic concepts of video editing, including planning and executing a small video project. Students explore the aesthetics and technical aspects of digital video editing using Apple's Final Cut Pro software. Topics include log and capture software capabilities, hardware, critiquing process, and media management. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring.

    This class allows students to apply the software, hardware, editing, troubleshooting, and aesthetic skills acquired in Digital Video Editing I to create broadcast-quality, independent video projects. May be taken twice as degree or certificate credit. Offered: Spring.

    This course supports students in a hands-on, project-based environment. Students work individually or in teams to explore the use of electronic media in art, creating interdisciplinary, installation or performance-based projects, culminating in the showing, presentation or performance of the work. May be taken twice for degree or certificate. Offered: Occasionally.

    Students will use skills developed in MART 160 Audio Production I to produce audio projects, utilizing a variety of analog and digital equipment and software, including microphones, multi-track and computer-based recording and editing systems. May be taken twice for degree or certificate credit. Prerequisite: MART 160L. Offered: Spring.

    This course provides students with hands-on experience in performing for television and film production. Activities include audition, script reading, memorization and improvisation, working to the camera, voice-overs and vocal projection, and developing a portfolio. Offered: Occasionally.

    This course teaches writing and reporting for broadcast with emphasis on research, interviewing, on-air techniques, commentary, spoken-word formats, and basic protools editing and production skills. May be taken twice for degree or certificate credit. Offered: Fall and Spring.

    This class is project-oriented and expands on areas introduced in Photoshop I. Topics include input and output devices, paint tools, manipulation tools, creativity within electronic media and the ability to objectively critique a project. Students produce a final project for inclusion in a portfolio. Prerequisite: MART 180L. Offered: Fall and Spring.
