The study of basic sales techniques is presented with actual role-playing and sales demonstrati ons. A classroom (theory) and laboratory approach is presented. This is a three credit hour course.

This course includes a study of the world of adverti sing as to the historical development and current practi ces. The course covers the use of media applicati ons to build an eff ecti ve sales promoti on campaign. Adverti sing theory is presented along with actual hands-on applicati on. The study of how to catch the eye and urge people to buy in a marketi ng environment is taught. The course will include the types and roles of visual merchandising including creati on, color, and principles of design. This is a three credit hour course.

This course examines the internal and external forces that impact consumpti on behavior. The consumer decision process is examined as well as the psychological, sociological, and environmental characteristi cs that marketers use to impact our buying behavior. This is a three credit hour course.

The management process, the decision making process, and the science and art of management is emphasized. The four functi ons of management-- planning, organizing, actuati ng, and control-- are studied in formulati ng and carrying out the objecti ves, policies, methods, and procedures in managing a successful business enterprise. Role-play situati ons are incorporated in the course. This is a three credit hour course.

This is the fi rst course in fi nance and includes a survey of the whole fi eld of fi nance, public and private. Financial insti tuti on, instruments, and procedures involved in the supply of and demand of loanable funds are studied. This is a three credit hour course.
