This course covers automoti ve electrical and electronic systems. Areas of instructi on include general electrical system diagnosis and repair, batt ery diagnosis and service, starti ng and charging system diagnosis and repair, lighti ng systems, gauges, warning devices, horns, wiper/washers and power operated accessories. Open to Automoti ve Technology students only. This is a four credit hour course.

This course covers automoti ve systems related to engine performance and drivability. Areas of instructi on include igniti on systems, fuel systems, computerized engine controls, drivability diagnosis, exhaust emission controls, and scan data diagnosis. Open to Automoti ve Technology students only. This is a four credit hour course.

2.00 Credits
This course is a conti nuati on of AT 114A and AT 114B and includes work experience in a cooperati ng automoti ve service facility. Students will work as trainees under the supervision of an experienced automoti ve technician. Open to Automoti ve Technology students only. Minimum of twenty hour of work per week is required. This is a two credit hour course.

Areas of instructi on include clutch systems, manual transmissions, manual transaxles, front wheel drive axle shaft s, CV joints, rear wheel drive universal joints, drive shaft s, rear axles, and four wheel drive units. Open to Automoti ve Technology students only. This is a three credit hour course.

This course will cover the operati on, service and repair of automati c transmissions and transaxles. Also covered will be the diagnosis and overhaul procedures. Open to Automoti ve technology students only. This is a three credit hour course.

This course covers the operati on, diagnosis, service, and repair of suspension and steering systems. Areas of instructi on include front and rear suspension, wheels, ti res and steering. Open to Automoti ve Technology students only. This is a three credit hour course.

This course is an introducti on to automoti ve service management. Areas of instructi on include an overview of the automoti ve service industry, the role of the automoti ve service manager, controlling service operati ons, management techniques, and management and business ethics. This is a three credit hour course.

This course provides a background for students majoring in science or entering into healthcare fi elds such as pre-denti stry, pre-medicine, or prepharmacy. It will emphasize scienti fi c inquiry into the basic biochemistry of living cells, cellular structures and functi ons, processes of photosynthesis and cellular respirati on, cell cycle, molecular geneti cs, and gene regulati on. Concurrent enrollment in BI 134L (laboratory) is required. This is a four credit hour course.
