This course covers theory and practi ce associated with performing facials in the related areas of anatomy and physiology, preparati on and procedures, appropriate products, materials, and implements, treatments, and makeup applicati on. Students will practi ce safe techniques while using electrical appliances and currents, specialized treatment machines, applying arti fi cial eyelashes, removal of unwanted hair, eyelash and brow ti nti ng, and light therapy. Students will practi ce performing client consultati on, making recommendati ons, and keeping accurate records. This is a fi ve credit hour course. Prerequisites: COSM 111, COSM 112, COSM 115, COSM 132, and COSM 142

This course will cover measurement of student skills and achievement. This course will include diagnosis student strengths and weaknesses, promote moti vati on for study, and assist in the development and assessment of oral, writt en, and practi cal tests. This is a three credit hour course.

This course orients the student in the fundamentals of business management. It will also present the important steps required in developing a professional development plan and the qualiti es for sati sfactory performance within each area of performance. This course emphasizes the importance of pursuing instructi on as a professional educator. This is a four credit hour course

This course covers related theory, anatomy, physiology, preparati on, procedures and practi ce in shaving of the face, products, materials, and implements. This is a fi ve hour credit course.

This course is an introducti on to cosmetology theory, lesson planning, analysis, and implementati on. Also included are sample lesson plans, benefi ts, outlines, and components of eff ecti ve lesson plans. Students will practi ce the principles of preparing lesson plans and practi cal course reviews. This is a seven credit hour course.

Proposed Descripti on: This course will focus on the following areas: independent classroom instructi on, generati ng and maintenance of reports and records, safety measures, classroom conditi ons, classroom management and supervision. This course will also cover academic advising. This is a nine credit hour course.

This course covers the fundamental principles of teaching cosmetology. It includes orientati on, state laws and regulati ons, professional ethics, image, eff ecti ve communicati ons, student learning principles, and academic advising. This is a fi ve credit hour course.

7.00 Credits
This course will present material in the following areas: independent clinic supervision, client communicati on, recepti on desk supervision, inventory control, eff ecti ve dispensary procedures, supervision of clinic sanitati on, client safety and supervision of student's technical skills. This is a seven credit hour course.

This course examines the four step teaching plan of preparati on, presentati on, applicati on, and evaluati on. Various teaching methods and eff ecti ve use of teaching aids with guides to the appropriate use of textbooks, workbooks, project sheets, and instructi on sheets will also be discussed. This is a seven credit hour course.

This is a fi ve-week course that uti lizes a computerized keyboarding program, which presents a few new keys in each lesson. This is a one credit hour course.
