Students will acquire a basic understanding of the research methodologies underlying several fi elds within the biological sciences, such as microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology. Techniques discussed include cloning, gene transfer, the Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), in vitro fertilization, organ transplants, and paternity testing.
