Prerequisite: None Various short courses and experimental classes covering a variety of subjects. The course will be a variable credit of one-half to six credits depending on the course content and number of hours required. The course may be repeated for up to six credits.

Prerequisite: Co-requisite or prerequisite MATH 181 or equivalent or qualifying Accuplacer, ACT/SAT test results. Fundamental principles of chemistry including stoichiometry, atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonding, molecular structure, kinetic theory of gases, gas laws, solutions, colligative properties, equilibrium and electrochemistry. Credit allowed for only one of the following: CHEM 121 or 21.

Prerequisite: CHEM 121 or 201 with a grade of 'B' or better and MATH 181. Principles of chemistry including thermodynamics, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, nuclear chemistry, metals and non-metals, coordination compounds, and properties of inorganic, organic and biological molecules. Credit allowed in only one of CHEM 122 or 22.

Prerequisite: CHEM 121 (formerly CHEM 101). CHEM 122 recommended. A laboratory course which acquaints students with some of the fundamental principles of carbon chemistry and biological chemistry.

Prerequisite: CHEM 122 or 22. Intensive introduction to the chemistry of carbon and its functional groups, including the structure and behavior of its molecules.

Prerequisite: Pre or corequisite: CHEM 241. Laboratory exercises in introductory organic chemistry. Stereo chemistry, separation and purification techniques, micro-scale organic reaction procedures.

Prerequisite: CHEM 241. Continuation of CHEM 241, covering simple and polyfunctional compounds, with emphasis on synthesis of organic molecules.
