Provides the student with an understanding of the law handed down from the Romans, as based on a code rather than on a combination of laws and judicial opinions. Includes case/lawsuit development, pleadings, motions, trial preparations, and procedures and appeals.

The Transformation of American Industry Project. Teaches the management philosophy of Dr. W. Edwards Deming, problem solving strategies and applied basic statistical tools and techniques for use in improvement of quality and productivity. See also MATH1900.

A course, seminar, or workshop designed to meet the special interests or needs of an individual student or group of students when these interests or needs are not fulfilled by the regular course offerings of the department.

Outlines the purpose and function of criminal law. Topics include, but are not limited to, the rights and duties of citizens and police in relation to local, state, and federal law (i.e. arrest, search and seizure, confessions); the development, application, and enforcement of laws; constitutional issues; and sentencing. Development of both oral and written communicative skills. Students will be able to organize and present effective presentations gaining audience rapport and sending appropriate nonverbal messages as well as formulate effective letters, memos, and reports for business/industry.

Deals with sales as a career and the application of professional selling techniques. Topics include the duties and responsibilities of a professional salesperson; the development, planning and implementation of a sales presentation; role-playing activities; and the various techniques and methods involved in making a sale.
