This course is a lecture and lab class that covers the detailing of structural systems utilizing steel and concrete. The main emphasis is on the how and why of engineering bidding documents and shop drawings for steel and concrete structural systems. The student technician will sketch and develop construction (shop) drawings from construction documents. The student will produce all shop drawings using recent AutoCAD software. Drafting emphasis is placed on presentation, industry standards, labeling and plotting.
