Focuses on the causes of institutional racism and sexism and its effects on the individual, groups, families, and institutions. Concentrates on the analysis of related institutional barriers and constraints affecting racial minorities and women. Discussion directed at increasing the awareness and appreciation of the issues and problems of institutional racism and sexism and the advancement of strategies to eliminate the problems. Consideration given to the role of social work practice for the removal of institutional barriers for racial minorities and women.
