Prereq: 9 hrs CYAF or related social sciences. Participation in a community-based project involving the practical application of program design and evaluation methods is required. Principles and methods of program design, implementation, and outcome evaluation of children and family programs.

Selection, use, and interpretation of assessment instruments for understanding the developmental level of children from birth through age eight. Assessment of reasoning and thinking processes, concept formation, and social cognition.
