Students will continue developing skills in melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic dictation, triad and seventh chord identifi cation, singing at sight from notation, and singing melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic patterns without notation. Through graded exercises, the student's musical ear will be developed to hear given rhythms, melodies and harmonies. Through regular practice the student will develop the ability to perform and transcribe complex rhythms, melodies and harmonic progressions. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in MUS 125 or Division Chair's permission. Concurrent enrollment in MUS 121 required.

The student will practice and perform choral works throughout the semester. Emphasis on vocal technique and performance practice will be an integral part of the choral experience.
