For the ancient world, texts might include the writings of the ancient Hebrews, the Sumerians and Egyptians, Classical Greeks and Romans, and Early Christianity. For the medieval world, texts might include Chaucer, Dante, the Gawain poet, Marie de France, and others such as Islamic and female writers. Themes vary annually and may include: "Representing Good and Evil in the Middle Ages" or "Forms of Love in the MiddleAges."
