We will explore some offbeat and non-mainstream art activities including artists' books, altered books, artists' trading cards, collage, assemblage, and box sculpture. This class is ideal for people who don't think they can draw or paint, since the ability to reproduce exactly what you see is not required. If you are fascinated by old things and have a tendency to save interesting paper, pictures, ticket stubs, lace, ribbons, colorful paperclips, labels, and pieces of rusted metal, this class will allow you to find a way to use those things. This is a way to unlock your inner artist, have fun and be creative.
