PrerequisiteSOC 100 In this course students will examine the problem of juvenile delinquency as it exists in the United States. An analysis of the various forms of delinquency will be highlighted. There will be an overview of the societal implications of juvenile delinquency ranging from the individual, the family and the community. Juvenile delinquency will be evaluated from a macro perspective by examining the role of schools, court systems, and legal implications with an overview of prevention initiatives and rehabilitation programs.
