3 credits quarters: o Study of selected U.S. and Canadian national parks which showcase the tectonic and gradational evolution of North America. Focus will be on geologic exposures shaped by water, wind and glacial erosion, volcanism, and plate tectonic forces. Prerequisite: ENGL 070 or placement in ENGL 075 Distribution: NS

Characteristics and effects of modern and ancient glaciers and Earth s ice ages will be studied, along with global climatic change, ice formation and movement, and glacial erosional and depositional features.
