3 credits quarters: An examination of the ethical challenges facing individuals and businesses in modern society. The course will utilize case studies of professionals working in various areas of business as well as the moral reasoning of ethics.

5 credits quarters: W This course will examine and analyze marketing forces in the viticulture industry. Students will be introduced to the Yakima Valley wine region, fundamentals of enology and viticulture production, and the basic principles of wine marketing and sales. They will examine industry standards relating to packaging, advertising, promotion, and distribution. Teams of students will research, propose, organize, and implement a marketing promotion plan to meet the needs of a local winery.

2 credits quarters: F This course is intended to follow up on MATH 041 and offer an opportunity to apply math concepts to a science class as well as give an introduction to the scientific method for students intending to take a college-level science course. Prerequisite: YVCC placement into MATH 050 or higher, into ENGL 075 or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 070, and into DVREA 081 or concurrent enrollment in DVREA 051.
