Students engage in observational data collection in restaurants, lodging establishments, and travel/tourism related businesses. Students identify a specific service industry, develop a strategic marketing plan including situational analyses, SWOT analysis, mission statement, position statement, and marketing action plans that include objectives, tactics, and success measures from a legal and ethical perspective.
