Prerequisite: CIS 103 or EET 100 This course requires the student to install a given OS, application software, and anti-virus software. The student will also troubleshoot problems related to software and hardware. In addition, the student will locate technical data on the Internet. Topics include: safety, software installation and upgrade, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting computer systems.

Prerequisite: CIS 103 or EET 100 Provides a foundation in networking of computer systems. Emphasis is placed on designing, installing, and managing a network. Topics include: networking basics, networking standards, install network systems, install networking software, organizing the server, manage the network, and network design and hardware.

Prerequisite: EET 251 Requires the student to design and implement all aspects of a local area network. Topics include: network designs, network applications installation, communications server software and hardware installation, CDROM server software and hardware installation, and network management.

Prerequisites: EET 249, EET 251 This course requires the student to install multiple network operating systems. The student will design and construct a local area network. Topics include: network designs, network operating system installation, network communication, software installation, and system troubleshooting.

Develops the ability to solder and desolder connectors, components, and printed circuit boards using industry standards. Topics include: safety practices, soldering, desoldering, anti-static grounding, and surface mount techniques.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: MAT 1013 (diploma) with minimum grade of "C? ?o r MAT 1111 (degree), IFC 101, or Advisor Approval Continues direct current (DC) concepts and applications. Topics include: complex series/parallel circuits and DC theorems.

Prerequisite/Corequisite: IFC 102, or Advisor Approval Continues development of AC concepts with emphasis on constructing, verifying, and troubleshooting reactive circuits using RLC theory and oscilloscopes. Topics include: simple RLC circuits, AC circuit resonance, passive filters, and non-sinusoidal wave forms.

Prerequisite/Corequisite: IFC 103 Continues the exploration of the physical characteristics and applications of solid state devices. Topics include: PN diodes, power supplies, voltage regulation, special applications, bipolar junction theory, bipolar junction application, and field effect transistors.

Prerequisite/Corequisite: ELC 115 Provides in-depth instruction on the characteristics and applications of linear integrated circuits. Topics include: operational amplifiers, timers, and three-terminal voltage regulators.

Prerequisite/Corequisite: ELC 115 Introduces the basic building blocks of digital circuits. Topics include: binary arithmetic, logic gates and truth tables, Boolean algebra and minimization techniques; logic families, and digital test equipment.
