Through the study and preparation of various kinds of documents, students apply and strengthen the critical, thinking, writing, and reading skills developed in ENGL 1013 Expository Writing; ENGL 1023 MLA Research Writing or ENGL 1033 APA Research Writing; and ENGL 2653 Critical Thinking and Writing. The course acquaints students with the types of writing required in a technical setting-usually helping the audience to understand and to complete a particular task(s). At the conclusion of the course, students have a portfolio of their own writing samples.
