The course emphasizes techniques, equipment information, survival strategies, safety, and ethical outdoor recreation practices. It consists of classroom instruction and guided instruction in a variety of skiable settings. Each field day will consist of a 30 minute guest speaker presentation, practical instruction and skiing practice.
