The clinical effects of various types of respiratory therapy and diagnostic techniques are explored. Oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and respiratory drugs are thoroughly discussed. Hyperinflation therapy, pulmonary hygiene and chest physical therapy, as well as techniques of airway management are included. In the laboratory, students will apply their classroom knowledge of the above subjects. 3 hours of lecture, 2 hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite: RSP-1011 and BIO-2011.
