The Department of Sociology invites talented and motivated students to become academic peer advisors. Peer advisors are typically juniors or seniors, who work with the Advisor in the Department of Sociology to enhance the undergraduate experience for Sociology students. Peer advisors will assist prospective and current students navigate their undergraduate degree, aid in strategic course scheduling to ensure timely graduation , and assist the Advisor in creating department sponsored workshops related to recruitment of high school students, enhancement of deeply engaged learning opportunities for current majors, or professional development of graduating students. Approval of Department Chair, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Advisor are required, prior to enrollment. Please consult with Academic Advisor prior to the semester in which you would like to enroll for application and more information.
