Survey of technical methods involved in developing, processing, and printing images on lithographic stones (and occasionally plates). Primarily black and white, with some color as well. Insights into the field of printmaking in general. Emphasis on continuing development of individual personal imagery in the context of lithography. Evaluation based on a portfolio of work plus general energy and involvement. Prerequisites: "C-" or better in ((ART 2203 AND ART 2204 AND ART 2205 AND ART 2206) OR (ART 2200 AND ART 2250)) AND Minor status in Printmaking.

Survey of technical methods involved in developing and printing of screen images on paper. Stencil building methods feature photo film (with photographic, xerox, and drawn imagery) but also include a range of hand-built methods (glue, resist, cut film, paper stencil, etc.). Insights into the field of printmaking in general. Students may build their own screens or use furnished screens. Emphasis on continuing development of individual personal imagery in the context of the screen print. Evaluation based on a portfolio of work plus general energy and involvement. Prerequisites: "C-" or better in((ART 2203 AND ART 2204 AND ART 2205 AND ART 2206) OR (ART 2200 AND ART 2250)) AND Minor status in Printmaking.

A survey of technical methods involved in developing and printing zinc intaglio plates, including line etch, aquatint, drypoint, soft ground, lift ground, white ground, etc. Brief exploration of color methods in intaglio. Insights into the field of printmaking in general. Emphasis on continuing development of individual personal imagery in the context of intaglio printing. Evaluation based on a portfolio of work plus general energy and involvement. Prerequisites: "C-" or better in((ART 2203 AND ART 2204 AND ART 2205 AND ART 2206) OR (ART 2200 AND ART 2250)) AND Minor status in Printmaking.

The course introduces more advanced techniques to students. Areas include relief, screenprint, lithography, intaglio and mixed media. Prerequisites: "C-" or better in two or more of the following (PRINT 3310 OR PRINT 3320 OR PRINT 3330 OR PRINT 3340) AND Minor status in Printmaking.

Also includes investigation of history, conceptual foundations, and career opportunities in parks, recreation, and tourism. Prerequisites: Complete one QA course AND one WR2 course.

This course will provide an introduction and overview of the hospitality and tourism industry. The primary goal of this course is to acquaint you with the sectors of the hospitality and tourism system, their history, development, and roles in the tourism system, both nationally and internationally. Additionally, the course will review career opportunities in the lodging, food service, and tourism industry.
