Designed to prepare qualified pianists to teach piano effectively and to acquaint them with new materials and techniques from the intermediate levels of piano instruction. Public performance of a solo recital consisting of 30-40 minutes of music. Details of the appropriate repertoire selection and length of the program must be approved by the Music Department. Includes musical and extra-musical preparation. Successful completion prepares students to perform publicly in a solo capacity. Completion of Piano Proficiency is required before enrolling.
