Prerequisite: Texas Success Initiative complete in Reading and Math. This course covers the fundamentals of financial accounting, including doubleentry accounting and the accounting cycle. It includes the basic structure of accounting, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), analysis of transactions, financial statement preparation, and equity accounting for sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. Topics also include ethics, merchandising operations, internal controls, receivables, inventories, plant assets, liabilities, and payroll accounting.

Prerequisite: ACCT 2401 This course is a continuation of financial accounting, and a study of the fundamentals of managerial accounting in the corporate organization. It emphasizes accounting for a manufacturing concern, budgeting, planning, management decision making, and financial report analysis. Topics also include cost behavior and control, job order costing, process costing, activitybased costing, responsibility accounting, and ethics.

Digital imaging using raster image editing and/or image creation software: scanning, resolution, file formats, output devices, color systems, and imageacquisitions. Design development relating to graphic design terminology, tools, media, layout and design concepts will also be covered.

Prerequisite: ARTC 1302 and ARTC 1353 or consent of instructor The fundamentals of using digital layout as a primary publishing tool and the basic concepts and terminology associated with typography and page layout.
