The formal strategic planning process provides a framework for this course. Students are expected to apply this process in a case analysis, with emphasis on integrating earlier studies in business. This course should be taken in the last semester prior to graduation. Lec 3, Cr 3.

Topics covered in introductory statistics include tabular and graphical presentation of data, measures of location, measures of variability, correlation, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distributions, point estimation, interval estimation, hypothesis testing, and linear regression, with emphasis on business applications. Focuses on local and national standards and legal implications of relevant policies and regulations. Course content is aligned with State Board of Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. Requires students to participate in a minimum of 15 hours field experience with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Lec 3, Cr 3.
