This course provides students with the essential knowledge of the equipment and techniques used in the treatment of pulmonary disease and their clinical application. The following areas are discussed in-depth: oxygen therapy, humidity, and aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, chest physiotherapy, pulse oximetry, arterial puncture, and interpretation. Prerequisite: BIOL 2301, BIOL 2101, BIOL 2302, BIOL 2102, HPRS 1101, HPRS 1106, HPRS 1204, ENGL 1301, and (MATH 1314 or MATH 1312 or higher.) Corequisite: RSPT 2258.
