Overview of today's most dynamic computer-related technologies, including communication networks and the Internet. A modern programming language is used to present types of problems that can be solved with computers, the underlying algorithms, and the fundamental limitations. We adopt early in this course the information-centric viewpoint, exploring the role of computers in all stages of the information life-cycle.
