Designed to provide in-depth coverage and application of therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate, spontaneous, and artificial ventilation with emphasis on ventilator classification, methods, principles, and operational characteristics. Include indications, complications, and physiologic effects/principles of mechanical ventilation. This course also emphasizes initiation, management, and weaning of ventilatory support.
