(0-25) 3 hours As outlined in the learning plan, apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry and will demonstrate legal ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry. (SCANS 5, 7, 9, 10, 11) Prerequisite: Consent of department chair.

(3-0) 3 hours Introduction to a practical application of basic language usage skills with emphasis on fundamentals of writing and editing for business. (SCANS 1, 2, 9, 11) Prerequisite: None.

4 hours Study of current office procedures, duties, and responsibilities applicable to an office environment. Lab fee required. (SCANS 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) Prerequisites: POFI 1449, POFI 2401, POFT 1301 and POFT 1429.
