3 hours Basic information security goals of availability, integrity, accuracy, and confi dentiality. Vocabulary and terminology specifi c to the fi eld of information security are discussed. Identifi cation of exposures and vulnerabilities and appropriate countermeasures are addressed. The importance of appropriate planning and administrative controls is also discussed. (SCANS 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) Prerequisite: ITSC 1401 and ITNW 1325 or consent of instructor.

3 hours Identify elements of fi rewall design, types of security threats and responses to security attacks. Use best practices to design implement, and monitor a network security plan. (3-1) 3 hours Computer information systems security monitoring, intrusion detection, and crisis management. Includes alarm management, signature confi guration, sensor confi guration, and troubleshooting components. Emphasizes indentifying, resolving, and documenting network crises and activating the reponse team. (SCANS 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) Prerequisite: ITSY 2301 or consent of instructor.

3 hours In-depth coverage of incident response and incident handling, including, identifying sources of attacks and security breaches; analyzing security logs; recovering the system to normal; performing postmortem analysis; and implementing and modifying security measures. 3 hours A systems approach to managing activities associated with traffi c, transportation, inventory management and control, warehousing, packaging, order processing, and materials handling. The student will explain the terms and how they relate to the overall concept of logistics; explain the legal aspects and regulatory agencies as they relate to logistics management; and demonstrate ability to apply decisionmaking techniques based on time, materials and space.
