The symptoms and cause of abusive behaviors within the family are the focus of this course. Emphasis is on developing skills and competencies in working with the families to help them lessen and alleviate abusive behaviors and experiences. (3 Lec.)

Under supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. Directly related to a technical discipline, specific learning objectives guide the student through the cooperative experience. Cooperative education may be a paid or unpaid learning experience.
