This is a WECM Course Number. A survey of the theories, elements, and hardware/software components of multimedia. Topics include digital image editing, digital sound and video editing, animation, web page development, and interactive presentations. Course emphasis is on conceptualizing and producing effective multimedia presentations. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Skill development in the interface design process including selecting interfaces that are meaningful to users and relative to a project's content and delivery system. Skill development in producing and editing video and sound for multimedia productions. Emphasis is placed on the capture, editing, and outputting of video using a desktop digital video workstation. This course is cross-listed as IMED 1451. The student may register for either IMED 1351 or IMED 1451, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
