A study of developmental tasks and characteristics of infants and toddlers. Course uses current research that includes the influence of culture on development as well as other environmental influences. Includes observation techniques. Formerly EDEC 110.1.

The following broad topical areas as they relate to each developmental period will be covered: physical, perceptual, cognitive/language, and social/emotional development.
