Career related activities encountered in the student's area of specialization are offered though a cooperative agreement between college, employer and student. Under supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is the first semester of academic transfer Vietnamese. It is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary for basic communication and comprehension. Customs and cultural insights are also presented. This course is cross-listed as VIET 1411 but is also used in Study Abroad programs.
