Topics on philosophy, types of programs, policies, fiscal management, regulations, staffing, evaluating, and communication. (3 Lec.)

An in-depth study of the skills and techniques in managing early care and education programs, including legal and ethical issues, personnel management, team building, leadership, conflict resolution, stress management, advocacy, professionalism, fiscal analysis and planning, parent education/partnerships, and technical applications in programs. The symptoms and cause of abusive behaviors within the family are the focus of this course. Emphasis is on developing skills and competencies in working with the families to help them lessen and alleviate abusive behaviors and experiences. (3 Lec.)
