A study of diagnosis and repair of emission systems, computerized engine performance systems, and advanced ignition and fuel systems; and proper use of advanced engine performance diagnostic equipment. May be taught manufacturer specific. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

A study of the composition and use of various alternative automobile fuels including retrofit procedures and applications, emission standards, availability, and cost effectiveness. Overview of federal and state legislation concerning fuels. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Under the supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. Includes a lecture component. This course is cross-listed as AUMT 2280. The student may register for either AUMT 2380 or AUMT 2280, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (1 Lec., 20 Ext.)

This course provides a review and analysis of all Federal regulations applicable to safe conduct of airport operations. The requirements for airport certification are covered as well as airport environmental protection and occupational safety compliance. Day-to-day safe operations are emphasized. (3 Lec.)

An examination of the organization, operation, and management of airlines. Topics include financing, aircraft selection, route feasibility studies, load factors, and marketing. (3 Lec.)

A study of the major functions of airport management including facilities and services, organization, human resources, maintenance, planning and zoning, operations, revenues and expenses, public relations, ecology, and safety. (3 Lec.)
