Through lecture and practical experience, students will gain a basic knowledge of processing a crime scene, types and significance of physical evidence and analysis of evidence such as hair, fiber, trace, tool, firearms and explosives.

Topics include software development methodology, data types, control structures, functions, arrays, and the mechanics of running, testing and debugging. This course assumes computer literacy.

Prerequisite: COSC1436 48 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours.........................4 credit hours Review of control structures and data types with emphasis on structured data types. Applies the object-oriented programming paradigm, focusing on the definition and use of classes along with the fundamentals of object-oriented design. Includes basic analysis of algorithms, searching and sorting techniques, and an introduction to software engineering.
