3.00 Credits
Principles of law governing the interests in real estate including acquisition, encumbrance, transfer, rights, and obligations of parties, and Washington State regulation. Meets 30 hours of continuing education credit. Course is a 30 hour online course.

4.00 Credits
Students will explore topics in earth sciences: geology, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy. Earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, streams and floods, landslides, tides, coastal features, weather and climate, planets and stars. Integrated information about the relationship between humans and the physical environment. SCIE 103L must be taken concurrently or a later quarter to satisfy the requirement for a science course with a lab. For students with little or no college-science background.

Explore topics in earth sciences through laboratory exercises. Requires prior or concurrent enrollment in SCIE 103 or instructor permission.

5.00 Credits
Study the basic concepts of physical science, will learn to apply the scientific method to problem solving and popular science, and will apply the scientific method to a project.

4.00 Credits
Explore the earth's atmosphere and climate; solar radiation, condensation, winds, air masses, fronts, storms. No course prerequisites; concurrent enrollment in SCIE 115L or instructor permission.

Experience weather map interpretation, use of instruments, forecasting. Concurrent enrollment in SCIE 115 or instructor permission.

2.00 Credits
Students identify their interests, skills and abilities and evaluate their personality styles, values and work environments as they relate to careers. Activities include interest inventory tests, computer programs, job market research and informational interviewing. Format is lecture, discussion, group activities and individual projects.

Nine workshops cover analyzing peoples' interests, values, aptitudes and personalities as they relate to career success. Includes career information, transfer information, resume writing, interviewing, placement and workforce trends.

3.00 Credits
Students learn effective strategies for success in college. Topics include time management, memory improvement, note taking, test taking/anxiety, learning styles, stress reduction, creativity, and many others. Taught with lecture, seminar, group work, and individual projects to help students discover their natural learning abilities. Include Saturday field trip to Cispus Challenge Course.

1.50 Credits
Vocational students will learn specific study strategies to meet the specific challenges of their vocational program. Topics will include note-taking strategies, test taking strategies, stress management, time management, memory developing communication and team building skills.
