An introduction to Microsoft Outlook, a personal information management program used to efficiently communicate, schedule appointments and tasks, record information, and organize your files. Students will learn to use e-mail organization and manage messages, create and track tasks. Students will gather contact information in one locations, record appointments, set reminders, coordinate meetings and explore the Outlook environment. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills.

An introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint, a complete presentation graphics program. Covers creating, processing and presenting a professional-looking presentation using the computer. This class offers work processing, outlining, drawing, graphing, and presentation management tools. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills.

Class covers the features of the Quickbooks program including setup, managing revenue and expense accounts, payroll bank reconciliation, inventory, credit transactions, reports, inventory, and year-end procedures. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills

This class is designed to teach students how to create Web pages using FrontPage. The class covers planning and structuring a web page, inserting graphics, formatting text, adding background colors and images, creating hyperlinks and posting the web page on the internet. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills

This course covers advanced techniques for analyzing and manipulating data in Excel. Topics covered include importing and exporting data with other applications, working with templates, macros and multiple workbooks, extracting and analyzing data. This course meets the guidelines for preparing students to take the Microsoft Excel Expert exam in the Microsoft Office Specialist certification program. Prerequisite: keyboarding skills and Windows skills.

The course provides students who already have some familiarity with Access the chance to take their skills even further. Students will learn how to enhance table design with data validation, refine queries by applying filters and using indexes, and build and customize forms and reports. Prerequisite: C APS 152

Fundamentals of multi-view engineering drafting, including lettering, line types, line weights, sketching, orthographic projection, standard section views, auxiliary views, and dimensioning standards.

AutoCAD drafting, drawing, editing, dimensioning, drawing aids, layer control, blocks, symbols libraries, and plotting. Prerequisites: CNT 117 and, or instructor's permission.

An intermediate course in AutoCAD. Emphasis is placed on advanced AutoCAD commands, including assigning and extracting block attributes and creating attribute reports, incorporating and managing external references, isometric drawings, creating dimension styles, use of multiple view ports, and an introduction to 3-D wire frame models. Prerequisites: CET 112 or instructor's permission.

3.00 Credits
Advanced study of computer-aided drafting. Emphasis is placed on office integration techniques, including web publishing, user interface customization and scripting, creation of plot styles, incorporation of digital images in a drawing, incorporation of CAD drawings in Arc View GIS, and three-dimensional solid modeling. Prerequisite: CET 113 or instructor's permission.
