Introduction to the principles of drafting to include terminology and fundamentals, including size and shape descriptions, projection methods, geometric construction, sections, auxiliary views, and reproduction processes. This is a WECM Course Number. An introduction to basic computer-aided drafting. Emphasis is placed on drawing setup; creating and modifying geometry; storing and retrieving predefined shapes; placing, rotating and scaling objects, adding text and dimensions, using layers, coordinating systems; as well as input and output devices. This course is cross-listed as DFTG 1309. The student may register for either DFTG 1409 or DFTG 1309, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec., 5 Lab.)

This is a WECM Course Number. Architectural drafting procedures, practices and symbols, including preparation of detailed working drawings for residential structure with emphasis on light frame construction methods. (2 Lec., 5 Lab.)

Architectural drawing and sketching, including freehand drawing, perspectives, delineation in various media and development of students' graphical expression, including an introduction to various reproduction methods. (2 Lec., 6 Lab.)
