Includes a team project to design, build, and/or characterize a nanodevice. Emphasizes repair of selected equipment used in nanotechnology. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Prerequisite: BIOL 2420 OR BIOL 2421 AND NANO 2326. A simulated work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized theory, skills, and concepts related to nanotechnology materials, nanotechniques, and instrumentation. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.)

This is a WECM Course Number. Instruction in first aid for the injured or ill persons. Includes lifesaving skills for respiratory and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants in a medical setting. During this course students will be awarded the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course Completion card. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. (2 Lec.)

Preparation for entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Topics include resident's rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety.
