Industrial chemistry introduces students to the fundamentals of chemistry, particularly as they apply to process system operations. Topics covered include atomic structure, elements, compounds, mixtures, equations, material balances, inorganic and organic process reactions. Particular emphasis is placed on hydrocarbon chemistry--the many families that are found in crude oil and natural gas.
