FILM 280b: Internship Training

Under faculty supervision, students from any discipline can gain experience working on projects related to film and media in public or private organizations. Responsibilities include conducting background research and developing skills in film and media study and production. Hours for background readings and research will be completed in FILM 280a concurrently with FILM 280b. Normally a 2.90 grade point average, 6 hours of prior work in Film Studies, and approval of the student’s plan by the director of undergraduate studies are required. A research paper and report must be submitted at the end of the semester during which the internship training is completed. Offered on a Pass/ Fail basis only and must be taken concurrently with 280a. Hours of 280b will not count toward the Film Studies Major or minor. Corequisite: 280a.
