A professional seminar with emphasis upon developing a familiarization with clinical practice settings. The necessity of establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with other professionals will be explored, whether these professionals are marriage and family therapists or from other helping professions.

Designed to provide hands-on learning using the Internet and major office software technologies. The purpose is to provide experience with computer tools that can be used throughout the student's career to create well researched, informative, and professional documents. Credit by exam is available in lieu of this course.

Adult development patterns are reviewed and analyzed and goals are assessed through exercises and activities. Future trends are examined in relation to changing careers and lifestyles. A writing lab is conducted during the module and instruction in the work-related research project--project thesis--begins near the end of the course. (7 Weeks--3 semester hours)

This course reflects TNU's commitment, as a Christian liberal arts university to nurturing an appreciation for Scripture as the basis for creative personal faith and human life in the modern world. Examines and applies all aspects of fitness such as jogging, aerobic movement, nutrition, flexibility, strength, sports injuries, and weight control. Exercises will be developed for cardio-respiratory, muscular, and flexibility fitness. The course utilizes the exploration of critical health and wellness factors to guide the development of a wellness audit and personal fitness plan.

This course is designed so that students can master the basics of Excel as well as many of the advanced features of this industry's leading spreadsheet software in a hands-on learning environment.

The realm of mathematics contains some of the greatest ideas of humankind--ideas comparable to the works of Shakespeare, Plato, and Michelangelo. This course will introduce students to several of these ideas, selected from topics in numerical patterns, infinity, geometry, topology, chaos, probability, and statistics. Study of these topics not only demonstrates the beauty of mathematics but also develops critical thinking skills. This course is designed to be a study of mathematics as one of the liberal arts.

Will assist students by increasing their competence in mathematics and expanding their understanding of the applications of mathematical concepts in business activities. Emphasis is placed upon learning mathematical concepts through practical application to common business problems. This course will include a review of fundamental operations such as fractions, decimals, and percents. In addition, students will examine common business problems involving discounts, interest, markup, depreciation and inventory.
