SPAN 308: Spanish for the Health Professions

The course will build on the student's knowledge of the Spanish language with a specific emphasis on the language a health professional will need when communicating with a patient. Medical terminology, anatomy, personal information and expressions of feelings will be at the core of the course. The course will also address related cultural issues. Credits: (2-3) Prerequisites: P, this course will require two years of college Spanish or written permission from the Department.
