An introduction to guitar technique for the beginning guitar student. No emphasis will be made on a specific style as Jazz, Classical, Rock, or folk, but techniques of all these styles will be touched upon. The beginning of each class will be taught in a "Master Class" style in which only one student plays at a time. The objective of this course is to teach the participant how to improvise or improve the existing improvisational skill. Presentations and discussions will cover a variety of improvisational styles including jazz, rock, country, and classical. Class time will include listening, observing, and performing.
