The transformer section covers: understanding and recognizing different types of transformers and their applications; sizing transformers to supply various types of loads; sizing overcurrent protection for primary and secondary sides of transformers; sizing conductors for the supply and load side of transformers; sizing capacitors to correct power factor; connections and hookups; troubleshooting procedures; and general maintenance techniques.
