Approval of selection committee required. Under supervision of a faculty committee and a field supervisor, the internship is designed to present opportunities for qualified students to acquire exposure to aspects of public decision-making processes by participation in (1) local legislative bodies of the Richmond metropolitan area; (2) local and regional administrative agencies and commissions; and (3) private organizations that have demonstrated interest in local government and politics.
